When I was a kid, everytime I saw the first star in the sky, I would wish for the same thing. It was always a wish for "Happiness."
Last night, I had to question that wish. It didn't seem like enough.
I ended up deciding to wish for two things. I wished for Happiness, and I wished for the sense of gratitude to be able to appreciate the happiness I have.
I used to wish for material things, but now I wish for the good sense to realize that I am Happy!

ReplyDeletebeing happy and being content with it are two things that go hand in hand, because even a little amt of discontentment will snatch the gist of all the happiness we could have enjoyed otherwise.
Hi Gem and Punam... I don't know why I never wished much for material things. Well, actually, when I was really young I wished for a dog or a pony.
