6:00 AM is just too early.

My alarm clock rings at 6:00 AM. Then again at 6:10 AM. It is a nasty sound and isn't pleasant. I have to get up and go to work. It takes me until 6:15 before I can drag myself out from under the covers. Then, I wander downstairs and lay on the couch until my tea is boiled... I can't hop right in the shower, because I know from past experience that I will fall back asleep standing there.

I like work fine, but I hate waking up! And to make it even worse, these are the summer hours... I don't have to start until 8:00 AM. Starting September 4, I have to be there by 7:00 AM. Which means getting out of bed at 6:15 isn't going to work!

And I've tried going to bed earlier over the last few days. That hasn't been helping either!

I don't JUST sleep in the shower, I full out start to snore!I don't drown, though, because I've got TALENT.... :)

Beth -- when I had kids, I STILL slept. I would come downstairs with them and turn on Barney, then fall back asleep on the couch....

Do you know they now make alarm clocks that dont stop ringing till you throw them hard on the floor?!!No kidding--they are designed that way covered with some thick kind of rubber padding.

Even i hate waking up early.

sue, I hate to tell you but I worked for 12 years and had to get up at 6 a.m. and guess what? I never got used to it and still can't get up early without several alarm clocks. But I really loved my job so once I got there it was great.

But here is my news to spread to Frankie. We went to Busch Gardens, Virginia with kids and Uncle Frank actually chickened out for the 1st time getting on a roller coaster so Connor begged me and of course I went on the GRIFFIN, apollos Chariot, Loch Nest Monster and Big Bad Wolf. But on the Griffin I actually thought we would die. 206 feet up then a 90 degree drop at 70 miles an hour. I am sure Frankie has been on bigger but for this 62 year old Grandma I actually was so scared when I tried to scream nothing came out! Then Apollos Chariot was 825 feet long at 73 miles an hour with a few circles. After that the other 2 were a piece of cake. I told Connor I would go again with him the next day but thank God it rained and the Griffin was closed.

Well, good luck staring at 7 am. I just can't imagine.

Oh, I know what you mean. My alarm clock rings at 6-15 every morning, and I keep hitting snooze and finally emerge at 7-45. Yes, 7-45, no less. I hate getting up and if I didn't spread it out, I'd be grouchy the entire day.

Yeah I can imagine you would sleep in the shower... not surprised. Ahhh sleep. I have now trained my son to sleep late (so I can also sleep in when I am off) ....unfortunately school starts soon and I need to train him to wake early...bad cycle.
