Magnolia

I took this photo this morning, and I haven't used my new tablet on it. Just plain old camera and picasa. The tablet came with Adobe photoshop, in addition to Corel, but I haven't downloaded that program yet. That's next week's project.

I've been looking at a lot of art lately and getting depressed because there are some phenomenally talented people out there, and I'm not in their league. But I do enjoy creating anyway, and taking photos.

Spring is surely here. The allergies have really started. The tree is blooming and leaves are sprouting. The lawn looks like it needs mowing already. I'm going to put out some plants pretty soon. Then, summer will be here and it will be blazing hot, before you know it. Time just keeps cycling around.

Hi Sue,

Do not compare. If you compare with people better than you, you will feel depress/inadequate. If you compare with people not so good as you, you might feel proud.

With art, the artist creates for himself/herself - not for other people. Just go ahead. Use your talent, knowledge, creativity and just create.

I, personally think you take wonderful pictures. And I wish I have the interest, patient, talent like you to create.

Cheers,
Vincent

Sue.

I absolutely love this picture! it is so beautiful.

I agree with Vincent about not comparing ourselves to others. I've done this my whole life. It has kept me from doing things I've wanted to do and made me feel inferior.

I'm thankful to have grown wiser and more confident over the years. Wisdom truly does come with age and it feels great. Love and acceptance of oneself is the key.
